American Heritage Girls is a Christ-centered non-profit scouting organization with a wholesome program for girls ages 5-18. AHG offers badge programs, service projects, girl leadership opportunities, and outdoor experiences to its members.
Troop VA1878 meets the first, third and 5th Tuesday of the month from September through May.

AHG Troops are comprised of the following levels, which meet together:
Pathfinders ~ Ages 5-6 and in Kindergarten
Tenderhearts ~ Ages 6-8 and in Grades 1st – 3rd
Explorers ~ Ages 9-11 and in Grades 4th – 6th
Pioneers ~ Ages 12-14 and in Grades 7th – 8th
Patriots ~ Ages 14-18 and in Grades 9th – 12th
Life Skill Enhancement ~ through multi-level merit badge program
Girl Leadership ~ opportunities at all levels of programming
Developing Teamwork and Building Confidence ~ through varied outdoor experiences
Character Development ~ through community service and citizenship programs
Social Development ~ through organized Special Events
Spiritual Development ~ through religious awards program
