On July 17, 2025, Holy Family Council #6831 of the Knights of Columbus installed its new officers, led by Grand Knight James Schwartz, in a ceremony presided over by Virginia District 18 District Deputy Jay Hallem, District Warden Mike Carducci, and Virginia State Secretary John Knox. Past Grand Knight Mark Jeffers was honored as the council’s “Unsung Hero” with a state pin for his dedicated service. The event was supported by the officers’ wives, highlighting the strong community spirit within the council.
The Holy Family Council of the Knights of Columbus hosted a successful Independence Day 2025 fireworks parking fundraiser at Ida Lee Park, attracting 24,000 attendees and raising a record-breaking $8,000 for local Catholic Charities and the Parish.
The Knights of Columbus Holy Family Council wrapped up their Columbian year with their annual Communion Breakfast. During the event, they presented donations to local charities and recognized various Parish Ministries. They also honored individuals and families with annual awards, including Knight of the Year and Family of the Year. A special recognition was given to the Bukovac Family, and the Fr. Murray Scholarship winner was announced. The council expressed thanks for community support as they continue their charitable work.
The Knights of Columbus celebrated Father Ed’s farewell on June 14, 2025, with a heartfelt party. Grand Knight Eric Christoph presented him with a full-size banner of Our Lady of Guadalupe, honoring his dedicated service and spiritual leadership.
In conjunction with the annual 40 hours, the Knight once again sponsored the set up of the Miracles of the Eucharist Posters in Fellowship Hall this past weekend.
